While in Berlin, I experimented Le Faubourg, the ultimate trendy spot tucked inside the super-sleek Dorint Kurfürstendamm.
I found a sort of French luxury without the stuffy white-cloth vibes, located Right in the heart of West Berlin at Augsburger Str, literally steps away from the iconic Ku’damm boulevard.

Moody lighting, slick modern design, jazzy lounge beats, and a room full of stylish locals and in-the-know travelers. It’s warm, it’s aesthetic, and your camera will eat first.
Head Chef Lukas Hackenberg and his team are doing absolute magic in the kitchen, taking old-school French gastronomy and hitting it with a fresh, sustainable, hyper-local remix.

I started wih Champagne Tattinger Brut Reserve and paired the meal with excellent Chardonnay.
Great home made bread, served with garlicky butter , followed by an appetizer plate with octopus, passion fruit, olives and leeks. I would say a mix of quite spiced vegetables.

As mail dish I opted for a super classic beef tenderloin… so tender and so cooked to perfection, served with mashed potatoes.

I had a look to the menu.. get ready for absolute showstoppers like slow-cooked 63° eggs hiding under fluffy potato foam, or roasted cauliflower steaks packed with capers and almonds that will make even hardcore meat lovers do a double-take. -
I would advice to save room for dessert—their pastry team serves up straight-up edible art. The Cheesecake with mirabelle, oat crumble, milk and chocolate ice cream was simply superb.
“Faubourg” pays homage to the ultra-trendy Parisian districts (think Faubourg Saint-Honoré). Basically, the French joie de vivre went straight into Charlottenburg…
